<p>De wereld kent een enorme financiële crisis. Maar er zijn nog een paar voorbeelden van een crisis: de armoedecrisis, de milieucrisis, de grondstoffencrisis en de vergrijzingscrisis. <p>Frans Cuppen maakte het plan “Solar City 2050”, een Nederlands “Deltaplan” voor sociaaleconomische ontwikkeling in Marokko, als sluitstuk voor 100% duurzame energievoorziening in Nederland en de rest van Europa. Het plan vormt oplossing voor:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>de kredietcrisis</strong> in de vorm van grootschalige opdrachten- en werkverschaffing voor vele disciplines in het Nederlandse bedrijfsleven,</li>
<li><strong>de klimaatcrisis, de brandstoffencrisis en de energiecrisis</strong> door grootschalige opwekking van duurzame energie ten behoeve van Europa en de regio in de landen rond de Middellandse Zee,</li>
<li><strong>de huisvestingsproblematiek</strong> in de landen in Noord Afrika vanwege de toestroom van zeer veel jonge mensen naar de arbeidsmarkt in de komende jaren,</li>
<li><strong>de armoede en de migratieproblematiek</strong> door het creëren van werkgelegenheid op vele terreinen in de landen rond de Middellandse Zee,</li>
<li><strong>het nijpende en almaar groter wordende watertekort</strong> in deze regio’s, door massale productie van zoet water uit zeewater, als nevenproduct van de duurzame elektriciteitsopwekking en</li>
<li><strong>een oplossing voor de voedseltekorten</strong> door ontwikkeling van land en tuinbouw in steppe- en woestijngebieden in Noord Afrika en het Midden-Oosten.</li>
<li>Solar City 2050 draagt door internationale samenwerking bij aan <strong>stabiliteit, vrede en veiligheid</strong> in de Noord/Zuid en Oost/West verhoudingen.</li>
</ul>
<p>Marokko staat voor de immense opgave binnen een relatief korte periode één miljoen woningen te moeten bouwen. Er zullen dus complete nieuwe steden ontwikkeld moeten worden die ook werkgelegenheid bieden en die op duurzame wijze van energie worden voorzien.</p>
<p>Deze situatie doet zich ook in andere landen in de Noord-Afrikaanse regio voor.</p>
<p>Marokko ligt op een steenworp afstand van Europa, terwijl Europa en de rest van de wereld schreeuwen om oplossingen voor het klimaatprobleem. Het ligt daarom voor de hand dat deze steden in Marokko worden voorzien van grote zonnecentrales die energie gaan opwekken voor eigen gebruik, maar vooral ook als exportartikel naar Europa.</p>
<p>Door middel van<span> </span>grootschalige productie van zoet water uit zeewater zal land- en tuinbouw worden ontwikkeld in het nu nog dorre, maar zeer vruchtbare omringende gebied. De reeds bestaande biologische landbouw zal hierdoor een krachtige impuls krijgen voor levering van producten aan de steden, nieuw te ontwikkelen (duurzame) toeristenoorden en de export.</p>
<p>Het plan “Solar City 2050” biedt kansen voor vele disciplines in het Nederlandse bedrijfsleven om aan de realisatie en verdere ontwikkeling van deze steden en bijbehorende infrastructuur, land- en tuinbouw, toerisme en recreatie en nieuw te realiseren bedrijven en installaties deel te nemen.</p>
